You really get the sense of whats going on even if you close your eyes, you know exactly whats going on, with the help of the screenwriting. The use of sound for this short film was well made, as with the voice actors. I like it because it shows that the company is not really taking it seriously and they are just having fun. The art style itself is very kid friendly, it is what you would associate a child would draw, very child-like backgrounds. I like the way that they messed with daffy the duck by constantly making him change scene, in a way its like breaking the 4th wall as he speaks to the ‘directors’ or producers of the the short-film and they keep continuously harassing him. I chose this as my favourite amongst the other short films because I really like their art style, the art style and the humour they played out during the whole film. I mainly focused on capturing the moment with my quick sketches, however I did do some still drawings of buildings.

These are the drawings I did whilst in my drawing field trip with my other classmates.

What got me the most is the aesthetically it would dupe most, making you and even me think it would be all sunshine and rainbows, and that’s what I love about this is because it challenges that animation is not just for kids, but also for the adult viewers as well, additionally I don’t really see much animation that outright label each items or foliage in the scene so that was cool to see. The use of the sound I think was well done, all the actions, movements, the rustling of the bottles when being moved, etc- there is an individual sound clip that it will accompany which really help the audience like me to immerse myself into the animation. What I got from this animation, narratively speaking is that being greedy will only get you nowhere, once you start to get too greedy because, for example in the animation the kids worked together to gather thousands of flies for the gold idol to zap into jewelry, its visibly seen that the kids pursue more and more but in the end they get nothing, they lose everything. I like how it mad me believe that it would be a great and kiddy short animation as it started with a rabbit, but the sudden change of tone not even 1 minute into the video surprised me greatly, moreover the fact that it the tone changed very dark, with the little girl chasing the rabbit with a knife across the field and the brother helping the little sis out by jumping on top of it, effective killing the poor thing and soon cutting it open revealing a gold Olympic gymnast.

The structure the short film was put in, visually and its sound composite, they all played a key role in this animation and I believe it played its role very well. I picked this because it really intrigued me. The short film that I chose is the Run wrake-rabbit. Run Wrake- Rabbit (2005- 1st theory assignment
